Cold rolled seamless steel pipe is a type of steel pipe manufactured without welds or seams, using a process of cold rolling a solid steel billet through a piercing rod. This process creates a precise, high-quality pipe with improved surface finish and dimensional accuracy compared to hot-rolled pipes.

Manufacturing Process

Billet Preparation A solid steel billet is heated and pierced to create a hollow tube.

Cold Rolling The hollow tube is then passed through rollers at room temperature (cold rolling) to reduce its diameter and elongate it.

Cold Drawing (Optional) After cold rolling, the pipe may be further drawn through a die to achieve tighter tolerances and a smoother surface finish.
